Urban Beauties

A walk to find those pioneering, crack filling little plants that inhabit our urban jungle! Last August, society member Alan Crooks posted a fascinating piece on the Facebook page, about the wonder of these tough little plants and lots of comments followed! So, I thought, let’s have a guided walk around the streets of Salisbury, to see what we can find – led by botanist Anne Appleyard. I have chosen the May Bank Holiday Monday – 6th May, as hopefully the streets should be relatively quiet! Unfortunately, car park charges still apply on Bank Holidays – but if you are coming by car, you can park in the Waitrose car park for free and wander into Salisbury from there.
